Leonard Cohen é um dos meus ídolos desde sempre. As suas canções são inspiradoras, a sua voz única, a sua postura em palco inefável, o seu legado incomparávelmente vasto e inovador. Adoro - é o termo - ouvi-lo, comove-me até às lágrimas, fico extasiada perante a sua poesia, as sensações que descreve, a alegria ou a raiva que transmite. Nunca o ouvi ao vivo - é tudo em Lisboa, tudo mesmo - mas tenho DVDs de concertos, entrevistas e inúmeros planos de aula em que incluí as suas canções - Democracy, The Future, etc. Ele fazia parte do meu programa de Inglês no secundário , era tão importante quanto Margaret Thatcher ou Luther King. Ele é um ícone da música anglo-saxónica, nascido no Canadá, mas famoso e amado pelo mundo inteiro. Não quis transferir para aqui uma biografia seca tirada da Wikipédia ou outra, mas apenas prestar o meu tributo a este MAN, que tem sido "MY MAN" há muitos , muitos anos.
